About Inter-Institutional Program of Postgraduate Studies

The Department of Turkish Studies and Modern Asian Studies (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and the School of of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering (National Technical University of Athens), organize and operate the Inter-Institutional Program of Postgraduate Studies “Theoretical and Applied Geopolitical Analysis in International Relations and Strategy”.

This Inter-Institutional Postgraduate Program is a development of the older PGP of the Department of Turkish Studies and Modern Asian Studies, under the title "Geopolitical Analysis, Geostrategic Synthesis and Defense and International Security Studies", which operated during the period 2015-2025 (ten cycles of study have been completed).

The administrative support of the Inter-Institutional Program is undertaken by the Department of Turkish Studies and Modern Asian Studies (School of Economics and Political Sciences of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens).


The IPGS leads to the award of a “Theoretical and Applied Geopolitical Analysis in International Relations and Strategy” Graduate Diploma, after full and successful completion of studies based on the curriculum.

The titles are awarded by the Department of Turkish Studies and Modern Asian Studies of NKUA, in co-operation with the School of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering of NTUA.
